Tom Clarkson has been a studio potter and ceramics teacher for 30 years. He has exhibited his work nationally for decades. He has an MFA in Ceramics from Ohio University. He is the director of the ceramics program at Piedmont Virginia Community College.
Nancy Ross has had a one-woman studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Central Virginia for over 35 years, where she has produced a line of functional, wheel-thrown stoneware including several sculptural series. In 2002, she began teaching ceramics at Mary Baldwin College. She joined the faculty at PVCC in 2009. She finds teaching a perfect complement to her personal studio work, as it stimulates and modifies her approaches to clay.
