Rob Tarbell

Rob Tarbell exhibits paintings, the Struggles, the porcelain animals, and Smokes, images created by capturing smoke on paper, nationally and internationally. In recent years, the Struggles were shown in London, Kentucky, & Texas. The Smokes were shown in New York, San Francisco, Georgia, Michigan, Illinois, Tennessee, Delaware, and in Korea and China. In 2007, he was awarded a VMFA Professional Artist Fellowship for the Smokes. In 2009 he was awarded a fellowship at the VCCA. Rob is represented by Krause Gallery (Atlanta), Gallery Imperato (Baltimore). His work can also be seen at Dolby Chadwick Gallery (San Francisco), Decorazon Gallery (Dallas), Reynolds Gallery (Richmond) and Les Yeux du Monde (Charlottesville). Rob Tarbell teaches at PVCC and is the Coordinator of the Graphic Design Program. He also conducts workshops for the VMFA throughout the great commonwealth of Virginia.
